As the AEMT continues to improve its offering to members, the secretariat has employed Sam Agnew as Event Organiser. Sam is tasked to develop an exciting programme of events for the association as well as supporting the AEMT Annual Conference and the inaugural AEMT Awards.

Thomas Marks, secretary of the AEMT explains, “This year has been an exciting and busy time for the secretariat. The AEMT Awards are proving to be a huge success, and we are deep into planning the AEMT conference for next year. Networking at conferences, awards, meetings and events are a major part of our service offering, and we are very pleased to have expanded the office team to create a new position for a dedicated Events Organiser. “

“When we interviewed Sam, we knew we were onto the right person for the job – her experience, enthusiasm, fastidiousness and can-do attitude secured her the role.”

Sam Agnew adds, “After joining the AEMT team as Events Co-ordinator, I have to say I’m quickly developing a soft spot for pumps, gearboxes and motors!”

“We have some exciting plans for 2018, including an International Conference and Awards Ceremony. Judging by the excitement surrounding the inaugural AEMT Awards taking place in November this year, it appears our members and associates welcome the chance to celebrate their achievements as well as taking this fabulous opportunity to entertain clients and employees.”

Sam will be speaking with members over the coming months, as she develops a programme of events that is not only interesting, but maximises the associations opportunities to learn, network and develop new and long-standing working relationships.
