Visitors to Interlift this year will have the chance to take a first-hand look at Warner Electric’s range of ERS FENIX electrically released brakes, an ideal braking solution where minimising noise is paramount. The FENIX 08, 09 and 10 configurations are specifically designed for use in elevator and theatre applications, offering reliable braking throughout the lifetime of the device.

Interlift 2017 is one of the premier worldwide events for members of the elevator industry, and will gather key decision makers to discuss new innovations. Warner Electric will be located at Hall 7/7128, where the FENIX 09 and FENIX 08 with manual hand release will be on display.

The ERS FENIX range offers a standard torque rating from 5Nm up to 4600Nm, with all variants featuring compact design for a reduced footprint. Ease of installation was also a primary concern for Warner Electric, as typically these devices operate in confined spaces. With this fact in mind, all models are designed to be virtually maintenance free, providing an expedited return on investment. All devices are 2014/33/EU compliant, denoting their suitability for the elevator market.

Adept at supporting applications with gearless or geared motors to EN81-20&50 standards, the FENIX range can be specified with an optional dust cover and manual hand release, which requires no adjustment. In addition, micro switches are provided as standard, as well as single or double voltage capability or optional contactless sensors.

The FENIX 09 is particularly specialised towards supporting gearless motors, with its double magnet and friction disc construction offering a torque capacity from 2x100Nm up to 2x2300Nm. The device is specialised to offer a double braking system, providing increased redundancy during dynamic stops.

The FENIX 08 and 10 differ in that they are designed to prevent car overspeed and unintended movement during operation, and are more biased towards utilisation in new build gear motors. Offering a braking force from 100Nm to 2300Nm and 200Nm to 4600Nm respectively, the single magnet and disc FENIX 08 and the single magnet double disc FENIX 10 provide end users with the versatility to support a variety of elevation demands.

As part of the Altra Industrial Motion Corporation, Warner Electric has been providing innovative braking solutions since 1927. This continued innovation will be showcased on stand during Interlift, where Warner will highlight a new frictional material that has been developed in-house. The business will be showing a video regarding the new material, and attendees are encouraged to ask Warner representatives for more information during the show.

Interlift 2017 takes place from 17th – 20th October at Messe Augsburg, Germany. Warner Electric will be located in Hall 7/7128 during the show.
