In late 2008, Edbro developed and delivered a tailored training programme for Volvo India to ensure the optimum performance of their product in this demanding market.

In the on-going drive to strengthen the successful Edbro brand worldwide, one of our UK based service engineers travelled to India in December 2008 to deliver on-site training to new customers.

The training programme, devised with the specific needs of the customer in mind, covered the basic maintenance of the cylinder, pump, PTO, air control and hydraulic valve, recommended by Edbro to ensure the long-life “fit and forget” reputation of their products.

Service Engineer Barry Mills, who delivered the training himself at the Volvo India plant in Bangalore explains, “The hands-on training sessions gave the engineers a chance to really experience the practicalities of cylinder maintenance to ensure they successfully apply the techniques in the future.”

The Edbro product is well-known for a proven reliability and durability in the harshest operating environments. With the right amount of basic maintenance which is recommended within the Edbro operator manuals supplied with each cylinder, the cylinder can truly be “fit and forget” for the lifetime of the chassis.

Safety is of the upmost importance to this market leader, continually testing and developing products to strive for ultimate safety not only for the operator but those working closely with the tipping cylinder.

Barry continues, “This hands-on approach to servicing gave the Volvo India engineers a chance to understand the importance of proper tipper maintenance and the visit definitely proved successful.”
