Market leader in maintenance services and MRO product supply - ERIKS, is launching a range of new products and services at Hillhead 2010 that all have a common theme - they represent taking a tough-line on preventing failures and breakdowns. By improving product quality and application technology ERIKS plans to reduce maintenance and extend the working life of machinery in mine, quarry, waste and aggregate processing applications.
On the ERIKs stand (P134 in the Pavilion) visitors will be able to see a range of innovative new products including: synchronous power transmission belts that can extend life and reduce both wear and noise, integrated bearing units that reduce maintenance and extend the service life of vibratory equipment, super-tough but light-weight RX brand hydraulic hose that can reduce plant equipment downtime due to hydraulic hose failures, new heavy duty roller chain, plus a comprehensive range of metal faced seals that have been designed exclusively for off-highway and tracked vehicles.
On the service front ERIKS will be introducing an onsite hose repair and replacement solution to ensure plant machinery is never out of action for long if it does blow a hydraulic hose. ERIKS has also launched a new service to reorganise and optimise engineering stores, called Storeroom Services. ERIKS has the expertise and technical product knowledge to enable it to project manage a full storeroom move, or transformation, from initial review through to full product re-organisation and software installation.
The new ERIKS Core Competence Centres are also going to be an important subject, as they offer a cross-over in knowledge and technology from manufacturing to maintenance and repair. The Sealing Technology Centre for example carries out R&D work and testing for Pioneer Weston sealing products and ERIKS O-rings; the Bearing Technology Centre is based at the Revolvo bearing manufacturing plant with all the experience that brings. Other Core Competence Centres include drives, hydraulics and belting.
The range of products on offer from ERIKS are intended to increase plant up-time, and minimising production maintenance costs; likewise the services on offer are there to help identify productivity, efficiency and reliability improvements. The combination results in an unbeatable resource that will help customers take a tough-line on MRO issues, but do this in an intelligent and flexible way, linking seamlessly with existing products and maintenance systems.
