In an exclusive deal, Jones & Shipman has extended its ability to supply total grinding solutions with the addition of the Doimak range of large cylindrical grinding machines.
Jones and Shipman has extended its ability to provide total precision grinding solutions to all sectors of industry, with its appointment as exclusive distributor, in the UK, Ireland, France, Switzerland and Belgium, for the market-leading Doimak range of CNC-controlled medium and large cylindrical grinding machines, ball screw and nut grinders, thread grinders, gear grinders and hob sharpening machines.
Providing the capacity to handle work pieces up to 1000mm in diameter, 6-metres in length and weighing up to 4,000kgs, the Doimak cylindrical grinding machines fit neatly alongside the J&S product range, delivering extra capacity to enable the company to expand the number of industries that it can service and support with its precision grinding machines.

The Doimak machines extend this capacity into medium and large components up to 6-metres in length and 4000kgs.”
The Doimak machines are characterised by their high reliability, accuracy and production throughput. They are designed to a modular concept that allows them to be tailored easily to meet the specific needs of every industrial sector. The modular design offers the inbuilt flexibility – and time saving advantage - of enabling several machining tasks to be accomplished with a single clamping operation. It guarantees high precision by delivering optimum thermal performance, rigidity and dynamic stability in machining operations.
The state-of-the art technology integrated into the machines – including Siemens 840-D CNCs running powerful, proprietary, intuitive user friendly software – ensures the highest quality finishing, plus high levels of competitiveness and profitability for the machine user. The machines are built in Spain and are typically sold into the aerospace, automotive and sub-contract engineering sectors around the globe, a market space where J&S has a tremendous amount of experience.
Jones & Shipman will be offering a range of seven RCN cylindrical grinding machines, alongside ball screw and nut grinders, thread grinders and gear grinders. J&S sales and technical support for the Doimak machines are also being provided in the UK, Ireland, France, Switzerland and Belgium where well established J&S offices provide local contacts, strong after sales support and a wealth of grinding experience.
