medmix to display advanced packaging solutions at The Adhesive and Sealant Council Annual Convention 2021

medmix Industry will highlight its sustainable packaging systems for two-component adhesives and sealants at this year’s ASC Conference & EXPO. With a focus on the future of the industry, visitors to Booth 210 will be invited to learn about the company’s innovative MIXPAC™ ecopaCC™ cartridges, designed to reduce waste while ensuring optimal filling, mixing, and dispensing.

The ASC Convention is the largest gathering of adhesive and sealant professionals in North America. From October 25-27, key players in the sector will meet to discuss industry trends, highlight new technologies and showcase the latest products.

On October 27 at 10:15 am EST, Rob Lindsey, Applications Engineer at medmix, will deliver a presentation entitled “Reduce Plastic Waste with Collapsible, Multi-layer, Film Packaging for 2K Materials”. This will cover how collapsible cartridge technology can slash logistics requirements, transport emissions and plastic waste volume. Furthermore, Rob will also explore how this design improves usability in terms of filling and sealing.

Complementing the presentation, medmix will also be available at Booth 210 during the expo held on October 27. The company’s experts will be on the stand to talk about its latest products and customer applications.

Highlights will include the MIXPAC™ ecopaCC™ cartridge for adhesives and sealants. Its collapsible design ensures storage and transport within four times less space when empty. Furthermore, it reduces plastic waste by up to 82% compared to solid cartridges. Popular in construction applications, the ecopaCC™ can be delivered with a sealed design to support front filling. In combination with the reusable support sleeve, ecopaCC™ offers backward compatibility with most dispensers on the market, with different film options available to suit a wide range of adhesives and sealants.

Another innovation on display will be MIXPAC™ Mixpeel™, a packaging system that fits a two-component adhesive into a one-component style cartridge. This solution allows users to dispense two-component adhesives with a one-component dispenser. The redesigned geometry of Mixpeel™ significantly improves the ease of filling, minimizes packaging and adhesive waste, and therefore improves the ecological footprint as well as disposal costs.
