sara’s new Sprint 300MP machinery protection door proves that productivity and safety don’t have to be mutually exclusive. The Sprint’s rapid opening and closing, with speeds of up to 2,3m/s, ensures short cycle times when gaining access to machines; while the robust Sprint construction provides optimum protection for personnel against hazards such as flying sparks and welding splatter, and environmental hazards such as dust and noise.

The Sprint 300MP provides a combination of fast access and maximum personnel protection across the widest range of machines and equipment, including Automatic welding systems, Cutting systems, Milling machines, Painting systems, Workpiece handling, Tool handling, Presses, Conveyor systems, and Elevator and High-bay storage systems

Suitable for universal use indoors, the Sprint 300MP doors conform fully to EN 13241-1, EN ISO 12100 and EN 1088, offering safety features such as self-testing safety edges on each door and a door line photocell, which prevents the door from closing when obstructed. These features are complemented by either magnetic switches or roller lever limit switches which are integrated into the side frame of the Sprint door and connected to a safety monitoring module to show when it is safely closed. Those switches conform fully to EN ISO 13849-1 PLd and PLe, and EN 62061 SIL3. In addition, the Sprint 300MP offers a manual provision – via a hand crank – to allow door opening in the event of power failure.

The space saving design of the Sprint 300MP suits a multitude of applications, and also produces cost-savings by facilitating quick and easy installation. Moreover, Sprint 300MP installations are also flexible and highly robust: - Flexible, as a result of two control systems: one with optional microprocessor control that allows individual programming to meet specific user needs - in terms of speed and height of door opening/closing; - and Robust, as a result of employing flexible, tear-resistant, stretch-resistant door curtains, which provide maximum protection against flying sparks, dust, noise and welding splatter.

The standard curtain material is noise-reducing RollTex, with further options of transparent PVC with coloured reinforcing stripes and optional windows; NomaTex, which is available in yellow and grey – with optional vision panels, and in a flame retardant configuration for increased safety applications; and, finally, anti-UV welding windows, to EN 1598.
