Tsubaki has appointed Greg Sharp as Country Manager for its Power Transmission division in the UK, Ireland and Iceland. Having worked at Tsubaki in both engineering and sales roles for over 15 years, Greg is well placed to take on the new role. He will be working with the sales team to help continue growth in immerging markets, while also ensuring existing customers experience the same level of engineering support and product quality as always.

Greg began his career as an apprentice engineer, rising through the ranks to become an applications engineer for another well-known manufacturer. In 2005 he began working at Tsubaki, where he was quickly promoted to Engineering Manager. In the years since he has also taken on sales roles and account management responsibilities – working with customers in OEM, MRO and distribution.

Commenting on his appointment, Greg said: “Tsubaki is renowned for its product quality and engineering know-how. As an engineer first and a salesperson second, I find it incredibly rewarding being able to offer designers, installers and end-users value in terms or efficiency, reliability and Total Cost of Ownership. Tsubaki operates across a multitude of different industries and applications and can offer unique benefits in almost every case.”

In his new role as Country Manager, Greg will be responsible for business development – including new sales and growing existing accounts. He will do this by ensuring that all customers continue to have direct access to Tsubaki’s industry knowledge and by ensuring that lead times on standard and custom orders remain low.

Greg continues: “I’m looking forward to carrying on the good work that my predecessor did in growing Tsubaki’s name and reputation. I’m particularly proud of our engineering capabilities and will be pushing to further grow our support services for pre- and post-sales enquiries.”
