QUINTON HAZELL’S NEW COIL SPRING RANGE COVERS 98% OF EURO CAR PARC WITH JUST 1407 PART NUMBERS, SAVING 34% STOCK INVESTMENT FOR FACTORS
Quinton Hazell ‘s introduction of the new Q-Line range of coil springs enables the automotive group to provide the most complete steering & suspension solutions - including shock absorbers, coil springs, gas springs, top strut mountings and protection kits - from a single source supplier. Designed to meet or exceed original OE design specifications, and covered by a 2-year warranty, the Q-Line springs are an optimised range that covers 98% of the European car parc with just 1407 part numbers, realising a 34% reduction in stockholding against competitive suppliers.
“Existing players in the UK coil spring market each have around 3000-4000 references in their ranges,” said Ian Boyle, QH Product Manager for Steering and Suspension. “Our new Q-Line range provides the same coverage as these brands, but with only 1407 part numbers. What this means for aftermarket factors and independents is that a lower overall investment in stock covers a larger proportion of the vehicle parc.”
“With the Q-Line range we offer instant access to a stock holding of over 110,000 coil springs, with next day delivery on stock parts, and 48-hour delivery on springs not in stock,” said Mr Boyle. “The range is not over simplified: if a new spring does not fall within the design parameters required by an OE, then a new part number will be introduced to cover that application.”
Manufactured in Europe, - and already well proven across the mainland European car parc - the Q-Line springs are carefully designed to replicate all of the original design characteristics required by the vehicle manufacturer. Made from high quality tensile steel, they are parallel units, surface-treated with zinc-phosphate and epoxy coated to protect against corrosion. Each spring is 100% quality controlled and tested prior to despatch, to ensure they meet or exceed the Original Equipment equivalent.
The Q-Line springs are supported by a new catalogue - QH30 - which is now available from Quinton Hazell. The catalogue has 158 pages of applications, provides full cross referencing against competitive products, includes 1407 individual part numbers, and has a form guide at the bottom of every page. Further support is also available from Quinton Hazell’s specialist technical analysts.
