The awards ceremony will be staged on Wednesday 29th November 2017 at the Doubletree by Hilton Hotel in Coventry. With seven award categories each endorsed by a brand leader in the sector, industry-wide recognition will be given to those well-deserved businesses, large and small, which excel in their endeavours.

It is free of charge to enter and this event provides an excellent promotional opportunity for those that do. For the seven eventual winners it means more recognition and publicity during the gala awards dinner.

Award categories

The following seven categories make up the 2017 awards programme:

  • Technical Innovation of the Year, Product – sponsored by DFA Media
  • Technical Innovation of the Year, Project – sponsored by Solutions in IT
  • Environmental Contribution Award - TBA
  • Industry Supplier of the Year – sponsored by Fetcher Moorland
  • Contribution to Skills & Training Award – sponsored by WEG UK
  • Rising Star Award – sponsored by TEC Motors
  • Lifetime Achievement Award – sponsored by AEMT

How to nominate

Any company, product, application or individual involved in the manufacture, distribution, installation, service, maintenance and repair of industrial machinery technology can be nominated, including; electric motors, drives, pumps, fans, gearboxes, generators, transformers, switchgear and ancillary equipment. Individuals can nominate themselves, their own company, or nominate others that merit recognition. The online entry process is quick and easy and is located online at the AEMT Awards website – www.aemtawards.com

Strong industry support

About the AEMT

The Association of Electrical and Mechanical Trades (AEMT) was founded in 1945. It is an International Association representing leading companies in the electrical and mechanical service and repair industry. Members manufacture, distribute, install, service, maintain, and repair, electric motors, drives, pumps, fans, gearboxes, generators, transformers, switchgear, and ancillary equipment. In addition to motor and pump service facilities, most members operate mechanical engineering workshops for metal fabrication and the repair and refurbishment of worn components. Proceeding the publication of AEMT's and BEAMA's jointly produced first code of practice for The Repair and Overhaul of Electrical Equipment for use in Potentially Explosive Atmospheres, which was adopted as the initial IEC 60079-19 international standard. The association has put together a selection of Training modules covering the Theory and Practical nature to ATEX and IECEx equipment repair. The modules are delivered as accredited training courses by expert teams across the globe.
